WORK WITH ARTS/CULTURAL WORKERS
With a background in theatre, circus, and dance, I have a special interest working with arts/cultural workers. Along with my personal private practice, I offer psychotherapy services at the Al and Malka Green Artists’ Health Centre; a clinic specially designed for the health and well-being of individuals working in the arts.
Arts/cultural workers are at a unique risk for experiencing anxiety and depression, due to the nature of their work. Whether it be auditioning, criticism, the gig economy, or needing to be “on” all the time, work in the arts presents a unique set of stressors.
I am very proud to have worked for a number of arts organizations over the years, conducting mental health educational workshops. These organizations include the National Youth Orchestra of Canada, the National Ballet of Canada, the Canadian Film Centre, Canadian Actor’s Equity Association, ACTRA, School of Toronto Dance Theatre, Canada’s Ballet Jorgen, Sheridan College Musical Theatre Program, and more.
