LEAH TROUT, MSW, RSW
My aim as a therapist is to provide compassion and presence for you to feel emotionally safe enough to move through growth and change. It can be difficult opening up to someone new. I am experienced in helping folks process and make sense of their experiences, and provide experiential tools and practices to help you cope. Everyone is unique and there isn’t one approach that fits everyone equally. I therefore work integratively, utilizing aspects of Compassionate Inquiry, Somatic Experiencing, Internal Family Systems and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
My approach is attuned, compassionate and trauma-informed. I am currently training in Compassionate Inquiry, which is a somatic-based and trauma-informed approach created by trauma expert Dr. Gabor Maté. I am happy to offer sessions at a reduced cost if you are interested in working with this method.
I believe meaningful and authentic connection are essential for healing, so my aim is to provide that same connection for you in an effort to ease your suffering, and instill hope.
Please feel free to reach out for a free 15 minute phone consultation. We can further discuss my approach, and you can see if you think we'd be a good fit.
